Why? Legal professionals have noticed the pattern: one spouse reconnects with a former schoolmate, and one thing can lead to another… But is Facebook really a “marriage-wrecker”, or is it merely a tool that facilitates contact, like cellphones? The latter seems closer to reality.
What is certain is that Facebook is a gold mine for divorce attorneys who can find text or photographic evidence, not only about a possible infidelity, but also about drug abuse, which can be a case-breaker for a child custody case.
