Trust the Japanese to come up with some really far out ideas from time to time – where we have LED smiles light up the Land of the Rising Sun this time around. This is definitely one interesting body modification mod, although it won’t require a macho pain tolerance level and there isn’t any blood involved. What the LED smiles do would draw a fair number of looks compared to a tattoo or labret, simply because it lets your teeth flash in different colors. The brainchild of Japanese designers Motoi Ishibashi and Daito Manabe,the LED smiles were originally featured in a fashion advertisement in Japan, where it has turned into an accessory for now. No idea on how long this fad is going to last though, but hopefully no one grows a third arm or tail after literally flashing their smiles with these for a long time.
