Have you watched Tron in 3D already? If you haven’t done so, we would recommend you queue up for a ticket (or two) and enjoy the experience, never mind the acting and plot. Of course, entering such cinemas will require you to wear a pair of 3D glasses, but what if you could enjoy full 3D capability without having to wear such glasses? Toshiba intends to bring that experience home with their new Regza GL1 family of 3D TVs, starting with the 12-inch 12GL1 model that delivers 466 x 350 resolution and another 20-inch model (20GL1) being prepared as well. Both of these might be too small for what you’re normally used to, but then again for good reason – it helps keep the costs down. The Toshiba Regza 12GL1 is priced at $1,431 while the Regza 20GL1 will offer another 8-inches diagonally for double the price point. They will arrive this Christmas in Japan, and we do hope to see a 40-inch model of the series roll out at CES 2011. Heaven knows how many grand you’ll need to fork out for that one then.
