We previously noted that Apple’s AirPlay would be a useful way to get videos running on various devices, including a Mac. Now it seems that Linux (Ubuntu) will be getting in on the game too as a video has surfaced, showing a person with XBMC installed on an Ubuntu Linux box running an AirPlay client service. This is due to the AirPlayer solution mentioned earlier that advertises on Bonjour and can be played to directly from the built-in iOS video menus. Word is going around that a Windows version is in the works too, so that’s great news for Windows users out there.
