Toshiba’s range of notebooks are often on the high end scale of things, although they have tried to cater for the mid-range market at the present moment with a lesser pedigree range of notebooks. It is interesting to see the Japanese company pay a very strong interest to the world of netbooks like the MSI Wind and Asus Eee PC, coming up with a prototype that will feature the following :-
- 5.6″ touch screen display
- Microsoft Vista operating system
- 64GB SSD
- GPS chipset
- Intel Atom processor
Those specifications don’t really seem low-end to me, especially the 64GB SSD part. I wonder whether it will be even competing on the same grounds as the Eee PC.
